Virtual Fly Tying
Thursday, October 15th
6:00pm

www.zoom.us (see email for meeting id)

* Due to expected outages from Hurricane Delta, this week's "Virtual Tying Tuesday" has been moved to Thursday *

VTT is open to all members of recognized fly fishing clubs. Join the meeting at www.zoom.us using meeting ID and password. If you did not receive the ID and password, email Bill Morrison.

For this session, Bill Morrison will lead us in tying Mayers Mini-Leech. Created by renown guide and author Landon Mayer, this fly exemplifies his philosophy of "smaller and slower" when fish won't take a big streamer pattern. As many VTT participants now know, pine squirrel is a great material for lifelike action in the water. Using tiny twitches in retrieve maximizes the action of this fly.

Materials to be used:
- hook: Czech nymph hook or similiar
- underbody: medium holographic tinsel
- rear body: zonked pine squirrel
- front body: ostich herl or similiar

* Remember to use the online form to request sample materials for future tying sessions.
