February fly tying - Gurgler

KFF monthly fly tying session
Tuesday, February 20, 2018
6:30pm
Rapides Westside Library, 5416 Provine, Alexandria

* Please note: because of the holiday, the library is unavailable this month on the 3rd Monday, so we'll meet on 3rd Tuesday instead *

This month we'll tie the Gurgler. Created by the late Jack Gartside, the Gurgler is one of the universal patterns that has caught nearly everything from bream to tarpon. The Gurgler is a surface fly that pushes water and gives the general appearance of a variety of prey, from hoppers to frogs to baitfish.

As always, bring your tools if you have some. If not, we have a few sets for use during the session. Materials will be provided.  Beginners and guests are welcome!
